(Reuters) -The New Mexico health department reported 44 measles cases in the state on Friday, an increase from 43 cases from its previous count on March 25.
Most of the cases were reported in Lea County, which is located adjacent to Gaines county in Texas.
Gaines county is considered the center of the current measles outbreak across the two states which began in late January.
